Linda is an experienced Manager/Educator across the Education and Training sector

 PTC focuses upon providing quality training and specialised consultancy for Children, Young People, Adults and Families Workforce


As Managing Director (owner) of Plymouth Training and Consultancy, Linda has utilised many years of extensive experience in providing training and development solutions for Children Services to develop a highly recognised quality adult training centre. Her previous role included managing, advising and providing training for Plymouth Local Authority, specialising within areas across the children services workforce sector. (Workforce Development Team – WDT)


Currently Linda manages an approved training centre delivering a range of qualifications, as well as providing many short CPD courses. As well as working in an Independent role providing Child Protection Training for Plymouth Local Safeguarding Board (PSCB)


As Managing Director of Plymouth Training and Consultancy, Linda is responsible for leading a City and Guilds, ILM, Ascentis and Cache Training Centre and managing a team of trainers. Within an advisory role Linda and the team provided advice, guidance and training solutions across the Children and Young People and Adult Care workforce. This is achieved through developing effective partnership, undertaking gap analysis and research to design programmes and short courses that met the expectations of National Occupational Standards (NOS).


Linda strives to:


Advise on professional development across service for children, young people, adult and family workforce sector

Research and ensure implementation of current appropriate qualifications which are accessible to meet the needs of the workforce

 Develop and deliver a training framework / strategy linked to National Occupational Standards

Provide high quality learning opportunities which enable the workforce to maximise their personal development potential and fulfilment of individual aspirations

Design, develop, tutor, monitor and evaluate learning and development within a range of qualifications and levels, across a range of sector specific field

Play an instrumental role in the designing and development of the Centres strategic vision and mission framework

Ensure the Quality Assurance and improvement systems were operational, leading the team through internal and external inspections and assessments and through periods of change

Seek quality improvements and embed change
